bird of paradise 300x200 What if...What if we all stopped pushing against everything in our experience? Do you know what I mean? Have you felt it? I wonder if we all, just for a moment, let it all go… what would happen? Would there be Peace? Would there be an end to suffering? Would we all breathe a sigh of relief and go about our lives the same way afterwards? I think not…

I have noticed something about this experience with such a profundity that it has changed my life. I was… and still am at times, pushing against so many outside experiences that are way beyond any notion of control that my little mind has. There is no controlling this experience. We don’t have that capacity, it turns out, yet we have been trained to push our way through life to get “what we want” or have the life we are taught to have. Think about it for a second…

See what I mean!

Now, take a closer look at your experience and answer this one question. Is there anything in your life right now that you are fighting for, or against? Could be anything… Obvious places to look are the closest to home. Are you completely happy with your job? with your marriage? with your children? with your family? with your friends? How about when you hear some news or other tidbit of information? Is there any resistance there? Do you find yourself forming an opinion and wanting to share it?

Likely the answer is yes… Ok, let’s take it further then… If you have that opinion, are you compelled to share it out loud? or would you rather keep it bottled up inside for the many reasons most are afraid to articulate their thoughts. Either way is a trap, you see. If you share your opinion, you may find others who support it, but eventually someone is going to say NO… Then what? and if you keep it inside, you end up going through life hampered by these walls around yourself that you have built up with this opinion that you are holding onto. This can escalate rather rapidly, we all know and the next thing you know a war is going on.

Battles rage over this very simple concept, don’t they? Within our minds and bodies to begin with and then in our external world if we don’t see the trap. Simply put, if we go down this path, the moment someone doesn’t align to our “thinking”, then we exclude that person from the experience. We hold onto our notion of the experience and dogmatically pressure those around us to come into alignment with our experience. Well, we all know where this is going, don’t we! All we have to do is look to the news these days to see just how ridiculous this really is. There is nothing to fight over if we recognize this simple truth.

Well, it is time for a change…

The next time someone comes at you with their perspective so deeply laced in personality and ego, you have a choice. If you are like most, when this happens your first response is to meet it with the same energy and provide your immaculate view of the experience. OK, then… where did that get either of you? Do you see that in this description, there are two energies opposing? War… and if either of you continue to amplify your “point”, a battle will begin. And there will be casualties… and harm done.

But, if just one of you sits back and says, “That’s nice…” or “that is an interesting point of view, I don’t have one on the topic nor do I plan to”. If one of you just doesn’t engage what happens? There is no battle… The war is stopped before it has begun… Even if that other person rants and raves for 54 hours, you can let it be… and still no war.

But you say, “Marc… That person is just flat out wrong! They shouldn’t… They think… They this… and they that….” Well, now we are back at war aren’t we… however, instead of taking it to the outside world, we have now isolated it within. In our thoughts and mind, where the ego resides. This is where the focus needs to be then isn’t it. Within… are the battles that manifest into our external world. We are fighting within the confines of our mind, body, spirit experience long before a war erupts on our home fronts… And if there was ever a battle worth identifying and waving the white flag of peace towards, this is it!

What if we all just stopped pushing against everything in our lives, just for a minute. Would the world feel it?

Well, this is easier said than done, it seems, but I think that is where we are headed. Those on the Hero’s Journey now have, or are beginning to realize that there is nothing to fight for anymore and that the illusion is one of separation. The only thing about me that is different from you is my perspective and life experience… There is no right or wrong, per se, just an individuated point of view, being had by an expression of Source Energy: same as you!

It all comes down to allowing, doesn’t it. When we just let go and allow these life experiences to unfold in a Divine way, there is no strife, nor suffering necessary, it turns out… So, how do we do it, you may ask, as herein lies the conundrum.

Begin your Soul Journey to Consciousness! Start now, on this rainy Saturday with some deep introspection and look for the places that you are resisting or holding on to something. Observe yourself from a neutral perspective and see what you see. This is where your Journey begins and ends… with You. Assistance and guidance will show up for you when you are ready… but ultimately this Journey is one you must take.

Make peace now within and watch the world around you change!

Aho!
